About Shivershield

Brian McFarlane is the founder and developer of Shiver Shield.

As an avid archer, hunter and outdoorsman, he spends many hours in the freezing cold, trying to bag that trophy whitetail or simply enjoying the great outdoors.

"The very worst feeling in the world is sitting in a treestand for hours and never feeling comfortable because you're freezing from head to toe," Mcfarlane would always complain. "Or worse yet was feeling like the kid in A Christmas Story, not being able to move because you've got layer upon layer of clothing just to keep even relatively warm. Try crossing a fence, walking to a tree stand or even trying to draw a bow with that much clothing on!"

"Or how about attending a sporting event or even something so simple as taking the family out in the middle of January just to find that your winter coat just isn't cutting it. Having to sprint from the car to a warm building is just not something that anyone relishes."

After many grueling winters of shivering, he decided that if nobody else was going to be able to help him, he'd just invent his own clothing line. Hence, Shiver ShieldTM was born.

The intent of Shiver Shield was to create a thin, non-bulky line of clothing for extremely cold environments that could be worn as an under garment for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, but also double as a coat for everyday life. Why buy two or three coats, get one good one and wear it all winter long.

Hunters, you have enough camouflage hunting clothes to last a lifetime. Don't buy another, but rather complement your exisiting camouflage with a bit more functionality and style. The great thing about this product is that when you're done with the hunting and you're ready to go eat or whatever comes next, you don't have to change.  Just lose the camo and you're ready.

"I fully endorse this product or I wouldn’t associate my name with it. You simply have to wear it to believe how something so thin can be so warm. I have never experienced anything like it before. You can bet that next winter, there will be a lot less shivering going on around the McFarlane house!"
