On the second day of Nebraska’s 2009 rifle season my son and I set up a ground blind on the edge of bean field next to the timber. There was a breeze so we sprayed the blind with TKO to eliminate our scent. That afternoon we had does and two smaller bucks feeding in the field in front of us. One of the bucks walked within 25 yards without any knowledge of our presents. As the sun started to set this big boy decided to come to the bean field to check things out. My son (Jay) let him have it. In a couple of weeks I’ll be hunting the Iowa shotgun season, you can be assured I’ll be using TKO to eliminate my scent as I try to keep up with my son’s success. |
